The Robocar Evolution project explores the potential relation between autonomous cars and urban space, aiming to move the debate from robot cars as a tech project to robot cars as a spatial and social project as a necessary addition to the tech-focused discourse. This is a research and urban design project focused on space-related discoveries facilitated by the advent of autonomous cars and how these spatial opportunities could address the current urban issues (such as growth, climate change, environmental quality, social segregation, energy transition, automation) through urban design. The questions WHAT (is a robocar), WHEN (will it be available to the public), and WHY (is the theme relevant in urbanism) approach the autonomous cars from an urbanism perspective.

This website is a knowledge producing platform to explore the relation between robocars and urban space.
